Teagan joined the LEAPH lab in Spring 2026. She is a second-year undergraduate at Virginia Tech currently studying Biological Systems Engineering with a minor in Chemistry. Her research interest surrounds the effect of pathogenic viruses and non-biodegradable substances found in the environment. Eventually, she hopes to do research creating sustainable alternatives for current materials and/or medicines. In LEAPH, she works on a project about rapid detection of Escherichia coli in soil.

In her spare time, Teagan enjoys reading, embroidery, and baking.
