Jaanavi is an undergraduate at Virginia Tech majoring in Civil Engineering. She joined the LEAPH lab in Fall 2026 and will be working on studying microbial ecology using metagenomics, mathematical modeling, and machine learning. Her interests include exploring the connections between environmental systems, microbial communities, and human health.

Jaanavi’s hobbies include Rifle shooting, reading, cooking and binge watching shows.
