Kailey joined LEAPH in the Spring of 2025 as a First-Year FURF fellow. She is a first-year undergraduate at Virginia Tech currently studying General Engineering. She research interests relate to environmental engineering, and she hopes to eventually do work relating to renewable and sustainable energy solutions. In LEAPH, she works on a project about rapid detection of pathogenic Escherichia coli in the soil.

In her spare time, Kailey enjoys being outdoors, hiking, and baking.
